Reality bites.

I am probably the only one who watches TV and admires the houses the character's live in.  For example, I wanted to live in the world of Pushing Daisies.  If you ever watch the Disney show, Good Luck Charlie don't forget to notice the very cool decor (I swear it is an updated Who's the Boss? set).  I don't know how these make-believe families pull off "cool" without it looking too cluttered.  Not to mention the colors.  You know, Nanny McPhee?  If you don't know what I mean watch it again and notice the colors.  I tend to like green woodwork, pink chairs, velvety pillows in chartreuse.

Sadly, I discovered a more realistic representation of my home: The Middle. If you have never seen the show, I encourage you to tune in for a tour of my home, complete with fingerprints around the light switches.

Here's the state of our Christmas tree:

I may or may not fix it.

I totally get you. Like the Modern Family house is very cool and to be honest the Mom is way to skinny. I still love the show. The movie Little Miss Sunshine has a realistic looking house don't you think? By the way, your house has a lot of charm and character and I don't mean that in a condescending way. It really is cute!

I love the tree!

I always used to notice how all the houses in the old family sitcoms used to have 2 staircases. (Full House, Family Matters) I've always wanted 2 staircases.

You are so funny, I find myself crying from laughter when I read your blog. I hope you feel better soon!

Isn't that the Christmas tree picture from last year?

Our tree is the opposite. The only remaining decorations are the ones that Emma can't yet reach. See what you have to look forward to. I love the Middle! And I love the FB of you guys at Grammie's. That is exactly how I remember you guys, (but with longer shorts. Why did my parents fight with me about clothing choices as a teen when they bought me those shorts as a kid.) Hope you are feeling better.
